Artist statement
The Good, the Bad and The Merciful looks at the process of introspection and self-betterment.
From recognizing where we’ve gone wrong, to feeling guilt about it and finding ways to exist with these thoughts and feelings whilst still forgiving yourself and others as you explore how to be better and what better is.
It recognizes the need for a balance of honesty and mercy toward ourselves and others as well as a need to stay connected to a guiding star that keeps you grounded whether it be God, family values, religion, culture and even habits.
These feelings and experiences are explored through visually experimenting with multimedia (such as acrylic painting, natural dyes, clay sculpting, hand stitching, etc.) and merging styles and techniques.
