Jewellery Design at RPSA

Jewellery Design at RPSA is not one path. It is a full three-year diploma for those ready to build a career in design and manufacture, working with precious metals, casting, stone setting and digital design in Rhino from day one. It is also a Saturday morning for beginners or a Wednesday for those building intermediate skill, for anyone who wants to make time for the craft without making it their whole life yet. However you arrive, you leave having made something real with your own hands.

Overview

This studio covers both the design and the professional manufacture of jewellery — a combination few programmes offer. You work with precious metals, casting, stone setting and digital design using Rhino 3D, learning to make your own ideas rather than handing them off to someone else to produce. Business management and brand-building are built in too, so the studio takes you all the way from idea to object to market.

Best suited to those drawn to objects, making by hand, precision, materials, detail, craft and small-scale manufacture.
