Fine Art at RPSA is not one path. It is a full three-year diploma for those ready to commit to the practice, and it is a Saturday morning or a Wednesday evening for those who want to make time for the work alongside everything else. Painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, illustration and mixed media all sit inside this studio, taught by mentors who are practising artists themselves. However you arrive, you leave with real skill and work you made yourself.
This is where you learn to see properly, and then to make from what you see. The Fine Art Studio works across painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, illustration and mixed media — not as separate subjects, but as one continuous practice of looking, testing, and remaking until the work is genuinely yours.
Whether you are here for three years or three weeks, the approach does not change: you work from day one, alongside mentors who are practising artists themselves, in a studio small enough that nothing gets missed.
Best suited to those drawn to observation, image-making, material exploration and an ideas-led practice.
